1. Cinnamon Ants On A Log
Classic staple and this site even has a cute printable recipe for kids to use. Definitely a fun way to practice counting with your little one. I like the idea of adding cinnamon. Check out 10 other creative variations of this snack here!
Ingredients/Supplies:
- Celery stalks
- Peanut Butter
- Cinnamon
- Raisins
2. Fruit Kabobs
This would be a fun way to practice patterns with your kids and a good way to get them to try new fruits. Side note – lately Harrison has been LOVING frozen blueberries. We bought a huge bag from Walmart and he thinks they are basically the same thing as a popsicle 😂.
Ingredients/Supplies:
- Assortment of fruit
- Yogurt for dipping (sprinkles optional ☺️)
- Bamboo Skewers
3. Edible Peanut Butter Play Dough
I adopted this recipe, cut out the sugar and scaled it way down. This made a TON using just 1 cup of peanut butter. Actually this play dough is dangerously delicious and thankfully my dog ended up eating most of it. I found the alphabet cutouts on Amazon and Harrison had a lot of fun playing with his trucks in it too.
Ingredients/Supplies:
- 1 Cup instant milk powder
- 1 Cup smooth peanut butter
- 1 Tbsp honey
4. Apple Donut Slices
I have been wanting to make these forever, they are so cute and I know Harrison would go crazy over them!
Ingredients/Supplies:
- Apples & Apple Corer (or you can simply cut out the core)
- Cream Cheese
- Food Coloring (they now make them without artificial dye 🙌🏻)
- Sprinkles
5. Frozen Banana Yogurt Pops
Ingredients/Supplies:
- Bananas
- Yogurt
- Sprinkles (or you could drizzle peanut butter!)
- Wax or parchment paper
- Popsicle sticks
