What’s in the Back To School Teacher Gift Basket

Here’s everything I packed into the bin. Swap items in and out based on your budget. Even a half-filled bin makes a big impact. I found pretty much everything you see here at Target! [updated for 2026]

• The bin: a white woven plastic storage bin that doubles as classroom organization once it’s unpacked.
• Classroom supplies: Crayola crayons, sticky notes, pens, Scotch tape, and sandwich bags (teachers go through these constantly).
• The “nurse’s corner”: character Band-Aids and travel hand sanitizer, which are always in demand.
• Cleaning wipes: because classroom desks see it all.
• Snacks for the teacher: granola bites, gummy worms, and some much needed caffeine!
• A little treat: a Starbucks gift card tied to the front with ribbon.
• The finishing touch: a free printable “We Are Extra Grateful for You” sign clipped to the front of the bin.

How to Put It Together

1. Print the free sign (download below). I laminated mine so it holds up, but that’s totally optional. Cardstock works great too.
2. Load the bin with the tallest items in back and supplies up front so everything peeks out nicely.
3. Attach the sign to the front of the bin with a binder clip or tape.
4. Clip on the gift card, hand sanitizer and tie a little ribbon around it. Done!
